Till now, there is no formal news about dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR). All Central govt employees are eagerly waiting for this hike.

The final decision will be taken by the Union cabinet meeting led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

If the Modi Government increases the DA and DR for employees and retirees then it would be a perfect Diwali gift for them.

Dearness Allowance hike (DA)

According to the AICPI report which was released by the Labour Ministry of India.

The points have increased by 0.7 i.e. from 129.2 (June) to 129.9 (July). This increment in points has paved a way to increase the dearness allowance of Central Government Employees.

Government is considering hiking the dearness allowance by 4% for July. It can be promulgated on the third Navratri (September).

Travel Allowance

The latest news regarding 7th pay commission is that the government of India is going to give travel allowance to its Central govt employees.

Now, Central Government Employees can travel by semi high speed fully air conditioned TEJAS Trains on training, retirement, or journeys.

Department of Expenditure (DoE) said that the travel entitlement in Tejas trains will be synonymous to Shatabdi Trains (Office Memorandum dated September 12, 2022)
What is the DoE's 2017 Circular?

The 7th pay commission Recommendation for travel allowance to Central Government Employees, Department of Expenditure's Office Memorandum (July 1e, 2017) states that-

Pay Level for determining the TA/DA entitlement is as indicated in Central Civil Service (Revised Pay) Rules 2016.As per the 2017 O.M, the department had decided to allow the government officials to travel by Premium Trains/Premium Tatkal Trains/Suvidha Trains.
