Dearness Allowance Hike
If all things go according to the government 's plan then it is expected that the government of India will increase 4% Dearness Allowance (DA) in January 2023. The increment of 4% DA will be a jackpot for the central government workers who are coping up with their rising expenditure.
At present time, the Modi government is providing 38% dearness allowance to the central employees. According to sources, the 4% dearness allowance hike decision will be taken in the central government' cabinet meeting which will be headed by Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
After a decision of 4% increment in DA, the new Dearness Allowance rate will be implemented from March 2023. There will be a total of 42% Dearness Allowance (DA) for the central government employees and workers by the government of India.
Dearness Allowance (DA) Hike Date
In 2023, the first increase in Dearness Allowance will occur in March. On the eve of Holi, this increment in DA will be a gift for the central employees by the government of India.
According to sources, the DA Hike decision will be taken in the central cabinet meeting which can be held on 1st March. Holi festival is falling just one week i.e. on 8th March. Hence, it is a high probability that the central government will give a 4% dearness allowance (DA) hike gift to the employees before Holi.
If dearness allowance increases it will rise to a total of 42% from 38% currently. In the midst of rising inflation, the increment in dearness allowance (DA) will help employees to manage their expenses.

According to the sources, there will be discussion on the fitment Factor. The government of India is working on a discrete program for salary hike. Government wants to prepare the draft before the union election of 2024. If this happens then the government can give it to the central employees to boo for the general election.
