Amit Shah, the Union Minister and Minister of Cooperation officially launched the 'Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS)- Sahara Refund Portal' in the Delhi. The whole process is initiated following the Supreme Court Judgement on March 29, that gives the direction to transfer the Rs. 5000 Crores from "Sahara-SEBI Refund Account" to CRCS to disburse the dues to the real investors of the Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies.

Through CRCS - Sahara Refund Portal, the union minister of India, Amit Shah tells the first payment of up to Rs. 10000 will be deposited to the accounts of investors through their Aadhar linked banks account. This amount will be deposited to one crore depositors who had invested minimum of Rs. 10000.

How to apply my claims on CRCS Sahara Refund Portal?
Step-by-Step Guide to Register and Claim Refund on CRCS Sahara Refund Portal:
Step 1: Go to the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal by visiting https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in/ or simply click on the provided link.
Step 2: To register as a depositor, provide your 12-digit Membership Number, the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar Number, your 10-digit Aadhaar-linked Mobile Number, and the Captcha. Click on "Get OTP."
Step 3: Enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number to complete the registration process.
Step 4: On the depositor login screen, enter the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar Number, your 10-digit Aadhaar-linked Mobile Number, and the Captcha. Click on "Get OTP."
Step 5: Enter the OTP.
Step 6: Once logged in, follow the Aadhaar prompts to give your consent. On the next page, accept the terms and conditions by clicking "I agree."
Step 7: On the Personal Details screen, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar Number and click "Get OTP." You will receive the OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Step 8: Enter the OTP and click "Verify OTP."
Step 9: After verifying the OTP, your Aadhaar user details will be displayed, including First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Father/Husband Name.
Step 10: Optionally, you can enter your email address and click "Save Email," then proceed by clicking the "Next" button.
Step 11: Enter the details displayed on the Certificate of Deposit.
Step 12: Click on "Submit Claim" to view all the claim details in the grid below. You can add multiple claim requests if needed.
Step 13: Ensure all the claim details are accurately entered before preparing the form, as it cannot be changed or added later.
Step 14: Affix your latest photograph and sign the claim form along with the photograph.
Step 15: Upload the completed claim form and a copy of your PAN card on the "Upload Document" screen. Note that a PAN card is mandatory if the claim amount is ₹50,000 or more. The size limit for the claim request form, signed with photograph and PAN card, is 12MB and 50KB.
Step 16: Once you've successfully submitted the claim, a thank you page will appear with a claim request number. Make sure to note down the claim request number for future reference.
Refund Processing Time
Sahara Society will verify and process the claim within 30 days from the date of submission. After verification, the authorised verifiers and CRCS will process your claim within the next 15 days.
The refund amount will be credited to depositors' bank accounts within 45 days after filing their online claims, subject to fund availability and verification. You will receive status updates through SMS/Portal regarding your refund claim.
